This passage embodies the truth of who God has called His church to be. Our devotion and love for Christ is what drives us to love God's most valued creation; people. We are a fellowship that desires to create an atmosphere pleasing Jesus through our love for Him and our intentional love for others. Dexter Assembly desires to reach into all cultures to create a diverse community of believers who follow Christ and are unified through our faith in Him. Stephen and Christy Beck welcome you to worship and experience the love, excitement, and heart to follow Jesus with Dexter Assembly. Pastor Stephen and Christy have led Dexter Assembly since 2020. They cannot wait to see what God has in store for this fellowship. They have served in many capacities of ministry over the past 25 years of their marriage. Stephen and Christy have served in the role of lead pastor over the last 15 years, with 13 of those years with The Cross Church of Camilla, GA. They are so excited to lead this great body of believers as their desire is to touch the lives of those who call Laurens County their home as well as the surrounding areas. They desire to share the heart of Christ with a world that needs the hope that only Christ can bring. They desire to tear down the walls of religion and tradition to reach those who are hungry to experience the love, mercy, and grace of God.

Walt and Ella Martin have served in various ministry roles since 1983. After attending Southeastern University, Pastor Walt has lead churches in Dublin, GA and Fruitland Park, FL. They have currently been serving at Dexter Assembly since 2016. As the Associate/Senior's pastor, Pastor Walt and Ella oversee the senior's ministry, hospitality ministry, and welcoming ministry. Pastor Walt also serves alongside the lead pastor in various church management and pastoral care duties. Pastor Walt and Ella's heart is to promote teamwork and to help carry out the total mission and vision of Dexter Assembly of God.

Anthony and Leah Manning have served in multiple roles at Dexter Assembly for more than 10 years including Youth Pastor for over eight years and Young Adults Pastors. They currently are serving on the Worship/Media team and both have teaching roles in the Youth & Childrens Departments. Anthony & Leah also teach a Small Groups class generally on Wednesday nights. Anthony has a strong desire to serve Men and help them navigate life through the leading and influence of the Holy Spirit, prayer, and scripture. They live just outside of Dublin in laurens county with their two children Lily and Autumn.

Our worship pastors are Cody and Bridget Odom. Cody has been leading the worship team since 2018. Bridget has been involved with worship ministry since 2014. Together they desire to lead their team with compassion, humility, and love. Their hearts for worship are to lead people into an atmosphere of authentic worship.

Connor & Caylyn Thomas has been at Dexter Assembly for almost 20 years, while serving in various ministry roles for nearly 10 years. They currently serve as the Youth Pastors and worship team members. Their desire is to create an environment where teenagers can come together and fellowship, worship the Lord, and grow to become more like Jesus. Connor and Caylyn live in Laurens County. 

Michael and Melissa Bryant grew up in Cochran, Georgia. They moved to the Dexter area in 2022. They have served in various leadership roles in the past 18 years including youth, children’s, men’s ministry and more. Michael and Melissa have been married since 2006 and have three children: Paige, Kaylee, and Michael Jr. 

God has given them a desire to instill in the kids a deep and intimate relationship with Jesus Christ -- one that will last and endure throughout their lives. They also strive to build relationships with the members of Dexter Assembly.

Shannon has been at Dexter Assembly for over 27 years and served in many roles including worship team, teaching, and nursery. Shannon and her husband Ricky have been married for 25 years. They live just outside of Dexter on the family farm with their three sons Dustin, Dawson, and Daniel. 

Shannon has a heart for women’s ministry. She believes God desires to equip and use the ladies of Dexter to reach the lost and hurting in our community. Shannon looks forward to fostering a growing love and unity within our ladies ministry, that we may serve others.
